With the renovation of One Brigham Circle and a thriving business district along Tremont Street and Huntington Avenue, Mission Hill has undergone a major revitalization while still retaining much of its original character. The community features a large student population from the vast number of nearby colleges and universities; including Northeastern University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, the Boston University and Harvard Medical Schools, Massachusetts College of Art, and the MFA School. The Mission Hill area is also home to the numerous professionals and young families who make their living in the nearby Longwood Medical Area. A newer condominium project has recently joined the brick row houses and triple-decker homes that have traditionally represented this architecturally significant district. Located just one mile from downtown Boston, Mission Hill is also home to the historic Mission Church.
