My husband and I were referred to Better Place Realty by our son’s college in Boston, the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, when we were looking for an apartment for him. We contacted their agent, Lisa Gilman, and she sent us information and photos on several locations available. We found an apartment that my son liked, and Lisa helped us get all of the forms together, and organized the group of roommates for the apartment, which was very nice. On the day of our move-in, everything was well organized and went smoothly, even though Better Reality had numerous other students moving in, too. We also found them to be very good managers throughout the year, responsive to maintenance needs, etc. Moving out was also well managed, and they were very nice about the few snafus we had with getting all of the keys back, moving everything out, etc.
But, possibly the nicest thing they did was to help us find another apartment for my son for this year. Their agent, Leela, drove us around to look at apartments, and even took us to sign the lease for the one we chose, even though it was through another agency, no small thing considering Boston traffic and parking. Leela, as well as the owners, Charley and Julie Carrozo, have been so nice and helpful, that we think of them as friends now, rather than just the people we rented from. I am so happy that my son’s new apartment is right up the street from their office, so we can stop and say hello to them sometimes. Our thanks to Lisa, Leela, Charlie, and Julie for making a difficult time much easier in moving our son so far from home.
